Welcome to Hogwarts Renegades! We are a "grandchildren of the Trio" era, canon-only roleplay. Before we begin, we'd like you to take a look at the rules of our establishment. There are a few things that we'd like to cover.
BASIC, PROBOARDS-MANDATED RULES » Please follow the rules when it comes to the Terms of Service. Don't think that we can't follow these; if we don't, this board might be terminated via Proboards themselves. We don't want that.
CREATING YOUR CHARACTER » When registering, it is best (or in this case, required) to create an account with your character's last name, followed by their first initial. For example, if John Doe was a character here, whomever made the account would have to create it as doej. If a child already has the same initial as you were planning on making, please add the second letter of their first name. Jane Doe would be doeja.
» Upon being accepted (and only upon being accepted) will you get to change your username. This will be your character's name in all capitals. John Doe would ultimately be JOHN DOE. Please do not go ahead and change your name right away thinking that you will be accepted.
» You may have as many characters as you'd like, but we'd like to keep the ratio even. We don't want ninety Gryffindors and no Hufflepuffs. We don't want fifty girls to two boys. We love boys. If you make two girl accounts, your third account has to be that of a boy. You get it? Good.
» One character per account. This is pretty much a standard RP rule.
WORKING ON THE APPLICATION » The staff at Hogwarts Renegades are very lenient when it comes to applications. When you register, you will have exactly one week to start working on your application. We suggest you work on it in Works/Word/Notepad or whatever your choice is, depending on your preference. Take your time on it. Get everything right. Make sure that you've spelled everything correctly and it doesn't look like a jumbled-up mess.
» Please, no Mary Sue/Gary Stu characters. Everybody has a few flaws - we don't want to see a bunch of people who are perfect. And this goes for a person's physical characteristics. You are not perfect, are you? Neither should your character. Give them a flaw physically as well as personally.
» If your application is finished and it has been approved, you may fill in your claims. The face claim is MANDATORY. (More on that later.) If your application is finished and it needs work, you have an extra three days to fix any mistakes and to PM A MEMBER OF THE STAFF to tell them that you've fixed said mistakes. If your application has been denied twice, try another character (by making a new account.) We encourage you to try a student if you were rejected as a parent - and vice versa.
CLAIMS AND WHATNOT » After you are approved, you must go to the claims section. This is where you'll find the face claim. We will only accept celebrities. This includes movies, television, music, and professional athletes. Any internet famous people or scene kids are not allowed. Due to them saying so, the following celebrities are not allowed:- Zoe Kimball
- Lara Jade
- Frieda Rose
- Lauren Peralta
- TwiggX
- Alice Cheynet
- Cameron Ugh
» All other claims on this site are optional, unless you are playing a staff member or an adult. Please make sure that you get your claims in as soon as possible.
POSTING GUIDELINES » No god-modding. God-modding is when you take control of another person's character. We don't like it when you do that. You have your character for a reason. Don't try to think that even though another person joins in the thread, you need to perform actions. You can re-do actions that another person has done to their character in the next post, however.
» This is a PG-rated board. So there is a NO SEX policy, meaning you can NOT do any sex scenes. We don't condone of "fade to black" scenes, either. If you want to be pregnant, you must be of legal age (no Seventh Years can be pregnant at any time), and you need to get the permission of an Administrator. You'll know who an Administrator is, based on the crown next to their name. If we accept your request, you may briefly mention how you got pregnant in one of your posts.
AVATARS / SIGNATURES » You must have an avatar of your character. Avatars must be no larger than 150px wide x 300px tall. No suggestive images are allowed (if your play-by has no shirt on, find a picture of him that HAS a shirt). No pictures of your female play-by with a bikini top on. You know what we're talking about.
» Signatures are optional. If you feel like you need one, they can be no bigger than 400px wide x 250px tall. To be honest with you, we don't want to see your signature longer than your posts. You can find smaller pictures. Also, one picture per signature. We will be cracking down on this rule.
That's about it. We hope that these rules will give you an understanding as to what we expect from members. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask an Administrator.
